Celebrate the Winter Solstice with Earthspeak , Arvel Bird & Friends!

The Old Town Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the return of the incomparable Celtic Indian Arvel Bird for the popular “Annual Winter Solstice Concert” on Friday, December 21st, at 7:00 PM. Joining Arvel and Kimberly Kelley for this evening of songs for the season are EarthSpeak featuring William Eaton, Susannah Martin, Claudia Tulip, Bart Applewhite and special guest Kaleah.

Arvel Bird is an acclaimed and award violinist, flutist and composer who brings to life the dramatic connection between Native American and Celtic traditions, stirring up scenes that echo from North American memory. He is joined by his wife& music partner, Kimberley Kelley.

In addition to playing his own music Arvel will weave his way in and out of the music selections brought by all of the performers to create a “holiday music in the round” that expresses the spiritual traditions of many cultures that share a passion for music.

Earthspeak, known for it's nature loving themes, brings a unique flavor of new age tribal folk jazz to the musical celebration.
Kaleah, a beautiful ethereal singer, songwriter and keyboard player, well known in Verde Valley, will bring her unique interpretations of well loved favorites; Silent Night, Scarborough Fair and others.
